As we celebrate the 4th Sunday of Easter, commonly known as the "Good Shepherd Sunday" and also "Vocations Sunday"/"World Day of Prayer for Vocations", we are invited to pray in a special way for vocations to the diocesan priesthood, religious priesthood and consecrated life. By extension, we pray for Christian families from which these vocations come. 

We pray to the Lord of the harvest to send more laborers because the harvest is abundant but the laborers are few. But the Lord's voice, extending this invitation to us, has to be responded to following in the footsteps of Prophet Isaiah saying, "Here I am Lord. Send me"(ls. 6:9).
